Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best month to pressure wash a house?

Anytime between March and November when the weather is warmer is a good window to pressure wash your house. If you power wash in the winter, you risk damaging your equipment because water can freeze in the pumps. You can also damage your property by spraying freezing water onto surfaces.

Is power washing better than pressure washing?

Not necessarily. Because the power wash system uses heated water, it’s better for more durable, porous surfaces that trap mold and mildew more, such as concrete and cement. This method is an excellent way to eliminate contaminants because the heated water sanitizes as it removes mold, mildew, and other substances. The pressure wash method, on the other hand, does not use heated water and is slightly gentler. It’s more suitable for asphalt driveways, brick surfaces, stairways, and more. It can even be used (very carefully) on vehicles and certain siding materials.

Is soft washing better than pressure washing?

The soft wash system has a lot of pros over its more traditional alternative, one being that because it uses powerful detergents, it provides a more thorough, longer-lasting clean. However, pressure washing is a great option for durable, porous surfaces like concrete and asphalt because it gets deep into the surface and removes hard-to-reach contaminants. Overall, both are great options depending on what you are cleaning.

How long does it take to soft wash a house?

It can take anywhere from a couple of hours to a full day to soft wash a home. It depends on the size of your property as well as what services you need.

Why are my roof tiles covered in moss?

Your roof is constantly exposed to the elements. Because it is often damp from the outdoor moisture, your roof is prone to moss, mold, and mildew growth, which can leave it looking dingy and unkempt.

How do I stop moss from growing on my roof?

Soft wash your roof at least once every two years to keep moss growth under control and the surface sanitized. You can also invest in professional gutter cleaning or do it yourself (we recommend hiring a pro to do this so you avoid ladder injury). Gutter cleaning takes care of your rooftop because clear gutters help prevent moisture buildup on the surface by directing rainwater down and away from your home.

Is it OK to power wash vinyl siding?

A power washer can severely damage vinyl siding. We recommend soft washing vinyl to prevent denting or breaking the material.

What causes mold on siding?

When your siding is frequently shaded from the sun and water collects on the surface, mold is likely to grow over time, especially when there are already dirt and dust on the surface. Prevent mold growth by soft washing your siding at least once every two years.

What is included in commercial cleaning services?

Commercial services include roof cleaning, window cleaning, garage and parking lot maintenance, siding cleaning, walkway restoration, and more.

How long after power washing can I seal concrete?

You should wait at least 24 hours to seal concrete. This gives the surface time to fully dry before you apply the sealant. Sealant must be applied on a completely dry surface so that it adheres properly.
